If you want to schedule a consultation or have questions, please email me or call 312-339-6208.

I am also available for organizations seeking supervision for their clinical staff.

PLEASE NOTE:

Clinical Supervision Services are for those who currently work or will work (as an intern or employee) at an agency or organization lacking the appropriate clinical staff to provide the supervision; or individuals with an independent license (LCSW/LCPC) who seek additional supervision in areas outside their current competencies.

I DO NOT provide clinical supervision to individuals who are seeking to practice independently WITHOUT the independent license (LCSW/LCPC).

SUPERVISION STYLE

I believe the supervision relationship is a collaborative relationship guided by the rules and regulations of the profession as well as the goals of the individual. It is a time of learning for both the individual and me.

Through our hard work, open and honest communication, there can be growth and development of professional and clinical skills and knowledge. To do this, we must both take the responsibility to establish goals and objectives, assess strengths and weaknesses, assess clinical and professional knowledge and skills, meet on a regular basis, assess our progress, and try new things.

During our supervision relationship, it is very important to build on current skills and also to address weakness. I will at times, encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. I do this so that you can gain skills and experiences in areas that are unfamiliar or less established. I ask you to have confidence in your abilities, skills and judgment during this time.

Also, while under my supervision, I too will consult with my peers and colleagues to help me better help you. While maintaining confidentiality, I will at times consult them on the cases we discuss as well as the progress of our supervision relationship. This allows for feedback from multiple sources on cases and various clinical issues.

Lastly, I encourage individuals to be open and honest with their feedback on our supervision relationship. With this feedback, I can grow and better serve you and others to come.

SUPERVISION SESSIONS & FEES

During our first consultation, we will discuss basic information and your specific needs for supervision. For this reason, I usually schedule at least 1 hour for this first meeting.  Following this, we will meet as required by your program, state regulations, and/or as often as we determine to be necessary.  We can schedule meetings for both your and my convenience.

Our supervision sessions are a commitment to our work. We agree to meet at my office or at the designated meeting location and to be on time. If you are late, we will probably be unable to meet for the full time. It is likely that I will have another engagement after our session.

A cancelled session delays our work. I don't need to tell you how important our sessions are so please try not to miss sessions if you can possibly help it. When you must cancel or reschedule, please give me at least 48 hours notice. Your session time is reserved for you or your group. I am rarely able to fill a cancelled session unless I know a week in advance.

----------

My current regular fees are as follows and I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Cash and Checks. You will be given advance notice if my fees should change.

Regular Individual Supervision: For a supervision session of 50-55 minutes, the fee is $125.

Group Supervision: For a group supervision session of 90 minutes, the fee is $60 per person. I ask that there be at least three people per group and no more than 8 people. This will maximize our time together. Group members are responsible for payment at the beginning of each session.

Extended Sessions: Sometimes it may be better to go on with a session, rather than stop or postpone work on a particular issue. When this extension is more than 10 minutes, I will discuss it with you or the group, because sessions that are extended beyond 10 minutes will be charged on a prorated basis.

I will assume that our agreed-upon fee-paying relationship will continue as long as I provide services to you. I will assume this until you tell me in person, by telephone, or by certified mail that you wish to end it. If you think you may have trouble paying for sessions, please discuss this with me so we can work out a solution.
